Joel was a dedicated husband and father who poured his heart into caring for his family. He guided them with love, patience, a protective spirit, and a strong faith in God, teaching his loved ones the value of devotion and trusting in the Lord through all things.
Above all else, Joel was deeply devoted to his faith and spent his life actively performing his duties in the church. He served his congregation with an unwavering commitment, a kind heart, and a welcoming spirit. Outside of his time serving the church congregation, Joel loved spending his free time on the basketball court. His love for the game, competitive spirit, and camaraderie brought energy and smiles to everyone around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Noreen Lata; his son, Edrian Lata; and his mother, Anita Lata. He will also be deeply missed by his sister, Laila Lata Latayan, and his brothers, Reynaldo Lata Jr. and Kenneth Lata, along with many extended family members, church brethren, and friends.
