It is with great sadness that we must say good-bye to our father, grand-father, great grand-father and friend.
On May 24, 2023, John passed away suddenly, at his home in Edmonton. He was 91.
John married Joan in May of 1962. Two years later they purchased the family home, where he lived until his passing. John and Joan had 4 daughters: Kathy (Mike), Cindy (Colleen), Pat and Lori. 7 Grandsons: Daniel (Lennea), Devon (Chelsea), Mitchell (Mikala), Sloan (Kelly), Jamieson, Zachary (Winter) and Joshua (Angel). And 4 Great Grandchildren: Savannah, Taven, Olivia and Jordan.
John is now reunited with his beloved wife of 54 years, who passed in December 2018.
We will miss his phone calls asking about the most current weather situations, his famous line “Well, the thing is..” and his stubborn but ever so kind and gentle demeanor.
John has requested to not have a funeral service and was cremated on June 3, 2023. As per his and our mothers wishes, his ashes will be buried with Joan, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Friday June 16 at 12:30pm. We love you and you will be deeply missed.
