Kathleen Mary Price

Born on May 4, 1947, Kathy lived a life filled with genuine connection, storytelling, and an unforgettable personality. She was a true original. Always loving, extremely patient, and understanding, she paired her deep kindness with a famously unfiltered approach to life, greeting everyone with an open heart and a sharp wit. Kathy was always willing to listen, and she could, and would, talk to anyone about anything, turning strangers into fast friends within minutes. Her authentic nature brought endless laughter and warmth to everyone around her. It is universally agreed by those who knew her that if you had the chance to meet Kathy, your life was undoubtedly better for it.

Kathy took great joy in her work and loved making friends during her time at Stream-Flo Industries. In her retirement, she continued to share her generous spirit by volunteering at the Grey Nuns Hospital, where her warmth and ability to connect with people brought comfort to many. Alongside her love for people was her profound love for animals; she had a deeply compassionate heart for creatures big and small, and there was almost always a beloved cat, a loyal dog, or both keeping her company and filling her home with joy.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness..." — 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Kathy is now reunited with her beloved husband, the late James C. Price. Her legacy of honesty, love, and lively conversation lives on through her devoted children: her son, Charles Price (Nina), and her daughter, Patty-Ann Price. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Shelby, who brought immense pride and joy to her life. Kathy will be deeply missed by her family, her former colleagues, the community she served, and the countless people whose days she brightened just by striking up a conversation.
