

Kelly was born to Joyce and Stuart Heather. He was raised on the family farm near Bashaw and graduated from Bashaw School. Following high school, he worked throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories in the oilfield, road construction, and surveying industries. He later attended NAIT to become a Civil Engineer Technician.
Kelly was happiest outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was known for his keen sense of humor and wit, his friendly and welcoming neighborhood approach, and his generous spirit – whether sharing garden vegetables, meat or lending a helping hand. His strong work ethic and natural salesmanship skills left an impression on all who knew him.
Kelly will be deeply missed, and memories will be cherished by his wife of 30 years, Peggy, whom he always referred to as his soulmate.
Five children lovingly remember him: Amber, Nicole (Darcy), Damian (Grace), Michael (Charlene), and Lisa.
Kelly was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to Joshua, Seanna (Maclean), Jordan, Alexzandra, Matthew, Braydon, Lucas, Liam, Joseph, Alana, Jenna, Sofia, and Holly.
Loving memories are treasured by his sister, Charlene (Peter), his nephew, Wyatt and niece, Catharina.
Kelly was predeceased by his parents, Joyce and Stuart and his daughter, Courtney.
He will be missed by his extended family and friends.
A Remembrance Service will be held on July 9th, 2026, at 10:00 am at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 1027 9810 34th Ave., Edmonton, AB
