Kongthinh was born in Thailand in January 12, 1931, married and moved to laos where she had six children. During this time she was a stay at home mother where in her free time also sold fresh fruit at the local market. In 1981 she immigrated to Calgary, Alberta. She loved to garden and cook and always made sure no one left her home hungry.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Dara, Davan, Chanthana, Soukangna and Ammone and eleven loving grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ta, brother Sanong and sister Thong.
