Larry grew up in Edmonton, spending his childhood years living in Bonnie Doon and living most of his life with his family in the Terwillegar neighbourhood. Devoted to the community, he was proud of his hard work and almost 50-year long career in civil service for the City of Edmonton.
He met his wife Demetria while working for EdTel and they married in 1974. Over the course of their relationship, Larry would grow to become an important figure in the lives of all of his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Larry and Demy welcomed their only son, Christopher, in 1984. Larry loved and cared deeply for those around him and was deeply loved in return.
Now at peace, Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Demetria; son Christopher; and sister Linda.
There will be a viewing (February 6, 2026, 5PM-9PM) and funeral service (February 7, 2026, 10AM) at Hainstock's Funeral Home in Edmonton (9810 - 34 Avenue).
