LOREN HICK

AUGUST 15, 1947 – APRIL 23, 2021

It is with great sadness and an empty heart that we announce the passing of Loren Hick after a courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves his memories and love with his wife Shirley, Daughter Leanne (Trevor), Son Brad (Jessica) Grandchildren, Tori, Mathew, Jesse, Brooklyn, Christopher and Ryker. He was predeceased by his son Christopher.

His parents Loren (predeceased) and mother Geertruida (Truus) . Sisters Lorene (Gerry) Gervais, Trudy, Brother Les (Miriam) Hick.

His in law parents and best friend Patrick (predeceased) and Una McNamara. Brother Bill (Cecile) McNamara and Sister Candace (Jules) Morin.

Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Cousins and friends.

Loren was born in McLennan Alberta and lived there until his marriage to Shirley. They just celebrated their 48th anniversary April 14. They lived in Grand Cache, Sherwood Park and Edmonton. Loren worked at numerous Safeway stores in the Edmonton area up until his illness 2 years ago. Beyond his Safeway family of many wonderful friends over 40 plus year he loved time with immediate and extended family and friends.

He loved curling, sports, pool champion, and travelling with his best friend and wife around the world. Cruising was the favorite of travel, but many years camping and road trips to the US and Canada.

We will miss his amazing smile, and contagious laugh. Stories and so much more!

He touched so many and always will be in our hearts and memories.
