Maria Teresa Pasqua

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Teresa Pasqua on November 5, 2024 at the age of 81. Maria Teresa was born on January 25, 1943 in Cosenza, Italy to Francesco and Mariella Boschetti. Maria Teresa was predeceased by her parents along with her siblings, Sara, Vincenzo, Elda, Virginia, Rita and Anna.

Maria Teresa met her beloved husband of 60 years, Fidenzio Pasqua in Cosenza and together they moved to Edmonton after their marriage. Moving to Edmonton was a challenge to someone who did not know the language or love the cold. She taught herself to speak and read the language and enjoyed her new life in Edmonton. Maria Teresa was a hairdresser, loved gardening and was a talented crafter from crocheting, sewing and knitting, she could master it all. Maria Teresa's cooking skills were also well renowned.

Maria Teresa was a beautiful person, known for her caring, kind, calm and loving personality. She was dedicated to her children, especially Alessandro and her grandchildren. She was someone who you could call up anytime for a chat and loved having family and friends over at any time. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maria Teresa is survived by her husband, Fidenzio Pasqua; daughter, Rosa (Brian) Ficko; sons, Vincenzo (Kerri) Pasqua and Alessandro Pasqua; grandsons, Evan Ficko, Giordano Pasqua, Dante Pasqua, Ethan Ficko and Elijah Ficko; sisters, Ada (Mario) Ricca and family; Rosalba (Franco) Alioto and family and brother Antonio (Louisa) Boschetti along with many nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at St. Albert Parish Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Maria Teresa will be laid to rest following the Mass at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
