Marie (Mary) Alvina St. Arnaud

November 4, 1918 – December 29, 2011

In the early morning hours of December 29th, Mary slipped peacefully away to be with her Lord and Savior.

Mary was predeceased by two wonderful husbands, Lawrence (Mac) McDonald in 1980 and Lucien (Lou) St. Arnaud in 1996. She was also predeceased by all her siblings, one granddaughter, Heather Allen, in 2002, and one step son, Gilbert St. Arnaud, in 2004.

Mary is survived by her family with Mac:

Lorraine (Barry) Bethell, Rita (Mike) Szostak, Larry (Kathy) McDonald and Colleen (Ted) Bird, seven grandchildren (Shaun, Deena, Chris, Jen, Mike, Colin and David) and eight great-grandchildren.

Mary is also survived by the St. Arnaud family: Richard (Sheri) St. Arnaud, Paulette (Dan) Keroack, Denis (Debbie) St. Arnaud, Brenda St. Arnaud and Claire (Robin) Logan, seven grandchildren (Nicole, Joel, Michelle, Kevin, Meghan, Marc and Molly) and five great-grandchildren.

Mary grew up in Morinville and had many interests, including travel, dancing, curling, bingo and bridge. She was an active member of the Morinville Legion for many years. She was also a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was very devoted to her faith.

The family wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to the staff of 2PP, Lynnwood Extended Care Centre for their compassionate care.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 12810 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
