

April 25, 1942 - December 2, 2025.
On December 2nd, Mary Ann Kohlman of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years.
Born in Macklin, Saskatchewan, Mary Ann was a school teacher for over 30 years in the communities of Fairview and Leduc, Alberta. She was an avid gardener, who spent many happy years in her backyard designing and growing the perfect garden, as well as a long-time Alberta Ballet season ticket holder, and a devoted follower of all things figure skating.
Above all else, Mary Ann loved bringing family and friends together, especially for holidays and special occasions, where she always went all out with planning and decorations. Her collection of Christmas crèches was truly a spectacle to behold.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons Alan (Jacquelyn) and David (Paula), her four grandchildren Kelsey, Willem, Marcie and Elias, as well as her siblings Dellah, Nick, Wesley, Jim, Theresa, Barb and Annette. She was predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Mary, and by her siblings Agnes, Deana and Denis.
Mary Ann's family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the staffs at Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre, and Hardisty Seniors Community for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Mary Ann's life will take place on her birthday, Saturday, April 25, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 34 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB.
