Born in Castor, Alberta and raised on the family farm near Bymoor, Alberta, he took his education in Bymoor, Alberta until grade 12 when he finished his education in Lacombe, Alberta. After his education, he had various jobs in Red Deer, Fort St.John, B.C. Calgary, and Edmonton. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and cruising. He also enjoyed curling and golfing, etc.
Predeceased by his parents, Florance and Hicks; 3 brothers, Lloyd, Norman, and Glen; and 1 sister, Elaine.
Survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Kelly (Julie) and Lyle Grover; 1 surviving brother, Ron (Debbie) of Olds, Alberta; a granddaughter, Michelle (Josh) and various nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid19 restrictions, a private family service by invitation only will be held in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the COPD or Lung Association Alberta.
