I am so saddened to hear of Murrays' passing. He had the best stories that would leave me in stitches. Those and his practical jokes often made my day! He will be sorely missed. xo

Murray was always enjoyable to talk to and always made you feel like a friend. I often laugh at his term "turkey" when describing someone in a story. I will miss you.

I did not know Murray, but extend my condolences to the family and close friends. There is a distinct possibility that Murray is a descendant of United Empire Loyalists, and perhaps he knew that.  However, for sake of children and grandchildren and generations yet to come, someone can look at the United Empire Loyalists Association of Canada website - you will see in the Directory the Baird who settled in Canada after the American Revolution.  There is a story to be uncovered. And there is a branch of the Association in Edmonton. Best wishes to the family.
