Born on Jan 16, 1938 in Edmonton to Edna Francis Ruffert and John Clifford Rule, he attended Jasper Place High School, and later worked for Canada Post for most of his career.
Murray was known for his love of reading, politics, hanging with friends and family, and puttering in the garage. Known for his happy go nature, big smile and positive attitude, Murray made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Murray is survived by his children, Jason Rule (Brooke Rule) and Crystal Jamieson (Aron Jamieson), and 3 grandchildren, Micah, Mateo and Zane Jamieson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Rule.
