Nelia Dariagan

Nelia is survived by her son Kelvin Dariagan, brothers Eduardo, Genie, Francisco jr, Rico, Allan Dariagan and sister Ruby Dariagan-Alqueza. She is predeceased by her parents Francisco and Jasmina Dariagan, and brother Geoffrey Dariagan.

She graduated Ramon Magsaysay High school and college in General santos city, and beginning her career as a teacher in Tampakan, south cotabato. She would go onto work abroad in Singapore for 4 years then moving to Canada in 1991 where she began working as a healthcare aide. She worked as hard as a carabao on a rice paddy, going above and beyond in all her work throughout her life. She was known as a friendly worker, garnering the best of everyone around her. She was a wandering soul, travelling to China, Malaysia, Thailand, Hawaii and Europe. She spent her last years in Venta care Center, passing away peacefully surrounded by friends and family.

A visitation will be held at Memories Funeral Home and Crematorium, 13403 St Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB, T5L4X1, CA, on June 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location on June 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with livestream available at https://www.facebook.com/110345959030324.
