Oksana Kulhawy

It is with heavy hearts the Kulhawy- Salahub family has to share the passing of our mom, sister, Auntie, and friend. Oksana Kulhawy was known by countless people as the kind soul she was. Maybe it was from the store she loved to operate, her large family spread around the world, her massive garden she grew without fail, or just as a friend. Oksana brought joy to everything she did.

Oksana was predeceased by her loving mother Veronika, and her kind hearted father Nickolas, both residing in Ukraine in the town she was born, Chernivtsi, Bucovina. She credited them with her kindness and knowledge of all sorts of mushrooms and plants, her green thumb, and all of her culinary skills.

Oksana’s love is carried on by her three sons, Matthew, Jonathan, and Kristoffer(Cailin), her friend Jacob, as well as extended Kulhawy family. At home, in Chernivtsi Ukraine, her older brother Stepan, and older sister Natalka, multiple nephews and nieces and their children will keep her in their hearts.

The morning of Thursday August 21st was delightfully sunny, after many days of rain off and on. Not too warm but the plants in her garden and flower bed were reaching up to say thank you to the sun. The weeds were also growing well, but that comes with the territory. Make sure you water your indoor plants, give your dogs an extra treat, cook a homemade meal. Maybe make one of mom’s recipes if she shared you one or two.

A celebration of life will be held on September 27, 2025 at the Seba beach pavilion at 1PM. The family would appreciate privacy at this time.
