

Peyton, was born on July 23rd 1952 in Glacé Bay, Nova Scotia to Patrick and Viola McIntyre. He grew up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Cornwall, Ontario and moved to Grande Cache, Alberta at the age of 16, where he met the love of his life, June. They were married on September 27th, 1970 and spent the next 54 years building a life and family together. June was Peyton’s everything, and there was nothing he wouldn’t have done for her.
Peyton was a dedicated Millwright for the majority of his life. He took pride in his work and was known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic. He was a valuable asset to his teams and was respected by his colleagues. Peyton had a thirst for knowledge, and was always learning, reading and teaching.
Outside of work, Peyton enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, learning, watching documentaries and doing work on his acreage. He was highly active and was always on the go. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was always there to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom.
Peyton is survived by his wife June, children Tony, Karen (Rich) and Michael (Katie), grandchildren Ashley (Nasim) Amber, Brittany, Shyla(Chris), Justin(Mylnn), Brandon, Cameron, Gracie, Markea, Kaylynn and Jazzmin, great-grandchildren Tegan, Morgan, Alex, Myles, Ayven, Azlynn, Gwenivere,and Tyson, his loving siblings and friends. He was a kind, tough, brilliant and generous man who always put others before himself. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Peyton's life will be held on September 14th at 12:00PM at Hainstock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Peyton's GoFundMe for his wife June in Peyton's memory, as this is what he would want.
