He leaves behind a legacy defined by wisdom, generosity, optimism, and a deep commitment to the people in his life.
Rajiv was a steadfast and loving companion to his wife, Asha. Together, they built a life full of joy and adventure. To his children and extended family, Rajiv was more than a patriarch - he was a mentor. He had a rare ability to see potential in others and to nudge them forward with confidence and belief. Known for his boundless encouragement, he celebrated even the smallest accomplishments, making those around him feel capable of becoming their best selves.
Rajiv was a great friend to many - loved ones, colleagues, partners, and younger generations who sought his counsel. He believed in looking forward, never dwelling in the rearview, and he encouraged others to approach life with courage, curiosity, and boldness.
He cherished time with family and delighted both in sharing his own stories and in seeing the world anew through the eyes of others. Ever curious, Rajiv remained connected across generations, learning as much as he taught.
Rajiv lived fully and generously. His life was marked by love given and received, challenges met with grace, and relationships deeply treasured. He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
Rajiv completed his Masters in Law at the University of Alberta. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta on August 9, 1974, and surpassed 50 seminal years as a practicing lawyer in 2024.
