It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grampy, brother, and uncle Randy McKenzie, who passed away July 25, 2026 at the age of 61, following a brief medical event.
Randy will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sandi, his sons Brandan (Keysha), Royce (Jayla), Phil (Jess), Andrew, and Matthew, his daughter Michelle, his cherished grandson Hayden, his brothers Jason (Natalie ), Chris, and Dustin (Patricia), as well as his extended family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Lois and Gerald, his grandparents Ken and Doris, Robert and Reta, and his brother, Jim.
Randy's greatest joy was family. His family came in many forms and all were loved and cherished.
He was a strong, caring, and resilient man who lived to help others. His passion for vintage cars, semi trucks and Nascar was second to none.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Randy's memory.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at Memories Funeral Home (13403 St. Albert Trail NW, Edmonton, AB) on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend or watch the service on a live feed on the memory page set up in his honour on Facebook (In Memory of Randy McKenzie) or by clicking the link "Join Livestream" under Scheduled Services below. There will be a reception to follow Randy's service.
The one thing Randy never wanted was tears over his passing. So, we will celebrate the life he lived, not mourn his passing. If there are stories and pictures you wish to share, please post them to the Facebook page. He loved to laugh and recounted many stories over the years that were something else.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
