Born July 22, 1962, Trent leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Angela (nee Steenburgh), and his three children: April-Marie, Angus, and Kate.
Trent will be remembered as a husband, father, and friend whose love and laughter touched everyone around him. He loved playing rugby, camping with his family and, in his early years, flying planes with Air Cadets. Trent had a gift for coaching and mentoring others, spending many years guiding athletes in rugby and hockey. He proudly coached women’s rugby, both high school level and with the Edmonton Clansmen, and later dedicated countless seasons to coaching his own childrens' teams. Whether on the field or behind the bench, Trent brought energy, encouragement, and joy to every game.
An avid gardener, Trent found peace and purpose in nurturing plants as they grew. He was deeply committed to helping others, known for his kindness and support within the community. He took great pride in his Scottish heritage and shared a special bond with his beloved Scottish Terrier, Arlo. Most of all, he treasured the time he spent with his family.
In honour of Trent’s memory, the family kindly requests contributions to Canadian Mental Health Association, an organisation chose by Angus and Kate in remembrance of their father, in lieu of flowers.
A Celebration of Trent's Life will be held at a later date.
