Richard Kevin Howard

Beloved husband and soulmate of Marie-Anne (nee Foisy), loving father of Emma and Hanna. Cherished brother of Eldon (Carolyn); niece, Abby; nephew, Cameron. Brother in law and uncle of Denise (Dave), Brooke, Paige, Doris (Glen), Dallan, Brandon, Lindsey, Yolande (Danny), Kayla (Eric), Josh, Nicole, Angele (Ben); dear son of Lloyd (predeceased) and Adrianne (predeceased).

Richard was born in Sudbury, ON and moved to Alberta, opening Bi-Way stores along the way. He began working for RONA in 1994 and made great friends over the 22 years he worked there. He spent many hours in his garage, building, fixing and inventing. He loved to watch both his girls play ringette and spent many hours with Marie-Anne at the rink cheering for them. Besides that he often watched and cheered for his favourite hockey team, The Toronto Maple Leafs.

He will be sadly missed by many friends and family. The family asks that those who wish to wear their St. Albert Ringette Jersey or any other sports jersey can do so in honour of Richard’s love of the game.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB. Cremation has been entrusted to Memories Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta.
