It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Swanson announce his passing on December 9, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Robert was born December 20, 1936, in Bassano, Alberta, attended school in Pigeon Valley, Alberta and worked as a professional Truck Diver at MacCosham Van Lines for over forty five years. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of fifty years, Gloria, daughters; Cheryl (Shawn) and Carolyn (Murray), his grandsons; Michael, Connor and Ryan as well as sisters; Anita and Betty. He was predeceased by a sister Marion. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to South Palliative Homecare and Hospice at Edmonton General Hospital for providing compassion and care. A Memorial Service Celebrating Robert's Life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 - St. Albert Trail, on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.; with Pastor Peter Grundler officiating. Memorial donations can be made directly to a charity of one's choice.
