REVISITING PAST TIMES
During my childhood days at Mathura, life was difficult, yet he used to come hpme on weekends with a bottle of Jam. All of us, thel younger ones used to wait anxiously for him on weekends !! Likewise days month week passed on and meanwhile he joined AIIMS at New Delhi and in the evening he used to teach me Mathematics. I can't forget those cherishable days. Thereafter he joined CIBA research Centre Goregaon Mumbai. I still remember some instance when he was in Mumbai as I got selected in Indian Navy based at Colaba Mumbai where he used to visit me on every weekend and that was time when I got to know him more closely. He used to treat me like his own child. He was like Father figure for me. Afterwards he left for Edmonton Alberta Canada. And in mid-1968 he got married since then he was in touch with me regularly. The outcome of his marriage was a Healthy Baby Boy on 13th Oct 1970, after two years he had organized Naming ceremony of Amar at Mathura, India in 1972. I still remember during the function he was enjoying and dancing whole evening on Yamuna Bank which I can picturise in my memory till now. The family was blessed after two years when came Rahul in this world on 22nd Aug 1974.
I still remember he had made visits to India where he never forgot to take out time to meet me, once in 1978 during our father's triyodashi ritual and in recent years in 2000 and 2002. Whenever I use to see him all my childhood memories used to get fresh like it was recent incidents and it was quite emotional which cannot be described.
There is a lot, this is what I have shared, if I had to say it will go on continuously  endless. I love him so much that all this makes me shed tears which I cannot control.

Beloved mausaji, you will be missed. Rest in peace.

Our family was deeply saddened by the news of your father's passing and we would like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to your family. Your father was a dear and close friend of our father, Ahmed. Our dad delighted in and took great pleasure in the friendship he had with Mr. Kulshrestha, who was always there to offer wisdom and advice, but also to provide comfort and sympathy in times of sorrow and grief. We will miss your father dearly.

We were very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing.  I remember him as always being warm with a genuine affection for children, more so than other adults I knew.  It was always great spending time at your place which was in large part due to the love and affection your parents showed us.


Our thoughts are with your family at this time.

It is with great sadness we heard of the passing of your dad. We got to know him just after we moved to Edmonton. He became a close family friend and always made time for us. We have great memories of him and he was always there for kids. Gargi, Vivek and Somya loved him and we all will miss him. We have fond memories of him. It is a great loss and we send our sincere condolences to the family.

We became close family friends with Roop from the day we met first time 45 years ago.  

Roop always had a very deep and sincere appreciation and love for life, for hard work, and for all the people around him. He took great pleasure in countless friendships he had, always admiring and unconditionally respecting every individual's thoughts and beliefs. And what was always apparent throughout his years of life was that he always received pleasure in hard and sincere work.  

As Roop has left this side of the Eternity to be with God Himself, we all are going to greatly miss his sweet smile, kindness, and hearty love of life that persisted all along throughout his life that we all know. However, it is the power of love that we have for each other and the memories of that love that keep us going. The little and big things that Roop did for us, the time he spent with us, and his very special laughter, we will never forget. They will help us push away the pains that we feel today. 

We know that Roop will continue to be with us in his kindness, love, and care. God has blessed us with memories so that we can see roses bloom all year around. 

Although, Roops is no longer with us in the material sense, he is still part of us through the one common continuum of life, the Supreme Power of God, that the life within each of us is also part of.  It is time to reflect on Roop's life that he shared with us and celebrate it, wishing him a new better life that he deserves.


His passing away is an immense blow to me especially as I looked up at him as my second father. He supported the family , helped us , treated us like his kids. He was always there to guide me and tell me right from wrong. There was a patch of time when I couldn't reach out to him but that didn't stop me from thinking of him always .

Then since last few years,  it became a ritual to speak to each other once every week, and he used to wait for my call n if I couldn't call or called late , he would ask why ... 

This bond we had, seems to have suddenly been taken away from me .. I feel raw , like the baby out of the womb , everything outside hurts. I have lost my second brother within 6 months . 

I wished to be there so much but age and other troubles prevent me , but I want him to know that I remember him in everything I do, each day .
May God rest his Soul in peace

We pray the love of God enfolds you during your difficult times and he helps you heal with the passage of time.

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, he will not be forgotten.
