Doreen had a wonderful life of travel and adventure with Lyle and her family, moving across the country and overseas, camping and building a cottage, and maintaining a welcoming home for family and friends wherever they landed. She and Lyle and her sisters and friends grew up in Oshawa and Ottawa area and enjoyed countless skiing adventures and bicycle trips. Once settled in St. Albert, they enjoyed skiing in the Rockies with their many friends, curling, gardening, and also continued to travel. Both Doreen and Lyle were curling fanatics and travelled the country to various Briars and Scotties tournaments. Doreen was an avid gardener, and spent her time in her bountiful garden, as well as producing amazing flowers. She continued and cherished her connections with friends made during this journey throughout her life. She will be lovingly remembered for her generous heart, keen wit in producing skits at curling and Airforce social events, and friendly support whenever needed. She will live on through her unending love for family and friends.
