Selva Ivonne Henriquez Fuentealba (Gaggero) was 72 when she passed due to Alzheimer’s on January 3rd, 2022 in Edmonton. She was born on December 14th, 1949 in Temuco, Chile to parents Esmarelda Fuentealba Mardones and Joubert Henriquez Acuna. She will be greatly missed by Luis Bobadilla (Husband), Leonardo (Brother), Gonzalo (Son), Karina (Daughter), and Tania (Daughter). She had a life that was filled with 3 nephews: Sebastian, Leonardo Andres, and Esteban. 10 grandchildren; Tatyanna, Kasandra, Lilliana, Kira Mila, Izabella, Anysia, Amalia, Josefa, Kalina, Emiliano and one great-grandchild Alaia.
She made the brave move from her beloved home country of Chile with her then partner Sergio Gaggero to Canada in 1976 to provide a better life for their family. She loved music and dancing and brought that passion to her everyday life. Her number one focus was her family though, where she instilled a solid support system and connection to their cultural heritage.
Celebration of life will be held at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 34 Ave NW, January 13th at 2 pm.
