Sharbel Vincent Derosa

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cassandra, and their three young children: Ayda, Elsa, and Zayn. Sharbel will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Faten and Jim, his brother Julio (Stephanie), his mother-in-law Barbara (Kendall), his father-in-law Lloyd Elder, his brother-in-law Colby (Jenn), and his sister-in-law Kelsey (Douglas). He was a cherished uncle to seven nieces and nephews: Dexter, Quinn, Clover, Darwin, Kaysen, Weston, and Ashton. Sharbel is predeceased by his grandparents Teta Marie, Nonna Rosa, Nonno Giovanni. He will be missed by many other dear family members and friends.

Sharbel was born on July 28, 1986, and was 37 years old at the time of his passing. As a child, he was happy and athletic, growing into a gregarious, fun-loving, and bright young man. He had countless friends with whom he loved playing poker, soccer, and golf. Sharbel began his career as a salesman at Ford, where his warm and inviting personality helped him excel, eventually moving from sales to finance manager, and then to sales manager. He was a sought-after mentor, known for his knowledge, teaching skills, and ability to make everyone feel seen and valued.

Sharbel met Cassandra in 2005, and their friendship blossomed into an incredible love, leading to their marriage in 2011. They welcomed their first daughter, Ayda, in 2012, their second daughter, Elsa, in 2014, and their son, Zayn, in 2016. Sharbel adored his children and was an incredible, goofy, and doting father. He will be deeply missed by his wife and children. Sharbel was the light of every family gathering, his huge smile and infectious laugh bringing joy to all.

A viewing for friends and family to say goodbye will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, from 5-7 pm. His funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 18th, at 2 pm, followed by a private reception.

Both the viewing and the funeral will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home and Crematorium in Edmonton, Alberta.
