The Family of Shirley Baptiste is deeply saddened to announce her passing on August 14, 2026 at the age of 54. She is survived by her sisters Sharon and Susan, and predeceased by her parents, Eileen and John Baptiste.
Born in Fort McMurray Alberta, her family eventually moved to Edmonton in 1977.
Shirley graduated from NAIT in their Administrative Assistant Program and had a degree in Anthropology from the University of Alberta. Shirley worked as an Administrative Assistant for 30 years.
Shirley loved live music, concerts, watching movies, cooking, baking, dancing, travelling and she spent much of her free time in service of others through volunteering. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2026 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am at Hainstock Funeral Home, 9810 34 Avenue NW, Edmonton with the internment at Rosehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Diabetes Canada.
