Shirley Gudmundsson was one of those beautiful people. She passed away on January 1, 2018 at 5:50 p.m., in her home, surrounded by family and friends after struggling four months from an aggressive form of lung cancer. Shirley was survived by her children: Lena Corrigan (Land), Linda [Dale] Michaels (Land), Allan [Rhonda] Sleen, Lorna Sleen, Stepdaughter Berglind Valsdottirs, grandchildren: Mairynn, Maija, Desiree, Jacqueline, Janelle, Michelle, Danielle, Tanya, David, Sarah, Melinda, and Alexander, her great grandchildren, her siblings Johnny Mills, Sheila Sowa, Robert Mills, James Mills, Marvin Mills, and Jody Roth (Dechambre) as well as their spouses and children.
Shirley was predeceased by her son Del Sleen (1987), stepson Valur Valsson, husbands Clarence Land, Al Sleen, and Valur Gudmundsson (2017), her mother Grace Dechembre (Miller), and her sister Edna Zak (Mills - 2017).
Shirley loved watching birds, now she is flying with them!
