Sucil Fernando

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sucil Fernando, who passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Chandrani and a devoted father to Ruwan and Danushka.

Sucil was the son of the late Allenson Fernando and the late Karunalatha Fernando. He was a loving brother to Anoma De Silva, Lakshman Fernando and Nandika Perera. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Mahendra De Silva, Nihal Perera, and Ratnasiri & Sujatha Fernando. He will be deeply missed by his many relatives, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their children in Canada, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

He will always be remembered with love and cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB, on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 2:00 pm.

A celebration of Sucil’s life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB, on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
