Teresa Irene Reid
28 July, 1957 – 4 October, 2020
Teresa Irene Reid (Terri) of Edmonton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on October 4, 2020 at the age of 63 years.
She is survived by her husband Richard Nadeau, daughter Chelsea Koehli, son Braidon Reid, granddaughter Everleigh Koehli, as well as her siblings, Dana (Ed) Kreil, Marla (Maurice) Engman, Lisa (Greg) Lee and Jason (Sylvia) Chan-Remillard as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She joins her parents, Leo (2005) and Shirley (2013) Remillard and her brother Wade Remillard (2012) in Heaven.
Being the oldest of six children, and at an early age, Terri took on the role of caretaker to her five brothers and sisters. She was selfless, strong, courageous and loving, often going without so others were taken care of.
Most of all, she was an incredible wife, mother, sister and Nana. Her granddaughter knew her only as Nana, but they were more like best friends. Having sleepovers together regularly, they taught each other about life and flowers. Terri was extremely proud of her family and told them so often. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter and love.
Terri had so many lifelong friends that she loved dearly – a testament to how genuine of a person she was. A proud lab technician for 40 years, she was loved and admired by all who knew her. Her co-workers described her as the nicest person you could hope to meet, and she always spoke so highly of everyone. Her heart for making people feel welcomed was immense and her door was always open to anyone who came by.
Our hearts are saddened, but knowing she is with her parents and our Heavenly Father gives her family comfort.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, October 16 from between 2:00-3:00pm at Hainstock's Funeral Home and Crematorium. So incredibly saddened to hear of the loss of Terry. I worked with her during my time with Dynalife and she was simply one of the friendliest and most welcoming people I worked with. She made me laugh so much and I looked forward to seeing her every time I had a shift at Callingwood. I moved away several years ago and she continued to check in with me from time to time to see how I was and to tell me a funny story. She said she was going to write a book one day about all the funny things that happened to her. She made an awful lot of people smile and she will be missed so much. Sending love to all of her family whom she cherished and spoke of so often. I will never forget her and cherish the moments I had with her.

My sincere condolences to Teresa’s children, Richard, sisters and all family. May you be comforted at this time of great sadness by your memories. Teresa and I attended school together and were BFF’s. As adults, we discussed how being the oldest of siblings grew and stretched her in ways I never experienced. She’d be honoured that you expressed that in her remembrances.
