Ursel Margarete Roeseler, nee Volland, went to her heavenly home on September 26, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born in Danzing, Ostpteussen on November 25, 1936. Together with her mother and brother they had to flee in WWII and settled in Eltze, Germany. Her father died in WWII. She married Siegfried Roeseler on December 10, 1954. They lived in Oppershausen, Germany.
Ursel was a God-fearing woman. She loved to attend church services and sing with the family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed socializing over coffee and cake, her hobbies were knitting, embroidery and gardening. Later on she also worked outside of the home.
On July 4, 1976 the family immigrated to Canada. They lived in Kelowna, BC for about 10 years before moving to Edmonton, AB.
She was predeceased by her husband Siegfried, her daughter Petra and her son-in-law Harry. She is survived by her children, Jutta, Michael with wife Cara-Joy.
A celebration of Ursel’s life will be held at Northwest Pentecostal Assembly Church, 9949 169 Ave, Edmonton, AB on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 12:00 pm with a luncheon to follow.
