As always this time of year, Wendy’s  friends from her Scotiabank gathered for lunch and a small toast was made to honour her memory and her friendship. She left behind a life time of memories.

Today our millwoods branch got together for lunch 
Maggie, Lorna, Bonnie, Myra, Cindy, Trish, Norma, Bea  and myself . 
A special toast was given to our friend Wendy who passed away 2 years today. There were lots of laughs and a few tears shed recalling all our memories we had with her.

It's hard to believe it's two years since Wendy passed away. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Our thoughts are with Peter, Linda, Sharon and their families as we remember Wendys passing one  year ago today. 
Tomorrow I am having lunch with all her friends at Scotiabank, in past years Wendy would be there also. I’m sure we will be recalling all our lovely memories and funny stories.

It's hard to believe it's a year since Wendy passed away. We  miss all the laughs we shared when we went out for supper or to concerts or on holiday together. We miss her company she was always so positive and we will remember her forever.

I met Wendy at the Millwoods Seniors Centre when she was a member of the Pickleball group.  We had many good laughs and experiences to share.  Although she left us to pursue her painting passion at the centre, she often stopped by to visit and catch up with many of us.
I was fortunate to view Wendy's paintings at a showing in Sherwood Park and understood that that was truly her calling.
Wendy was a very kind, supportive lady and will be greatly missed by myself and many others.

I first met Wendy around 1990 at Scotiabank  Millwoods Town Centre and then again at the same branch around 2000.
Wendy and I worked well together, our last 2 years at Scotiabank we job shared, which was great for both of us.
On one of my trips back home a few years ago, my husband Frank and I met Wendy and Peter in Nottingham where one of  her brother's live with his wife. Of course we met in a Pub had a lovely visit. 
I know Chester will miss Wendy very much, when they first got him we went to meet him, what a little character which I am sure he still is.
Wendy was beautiful in and out and I will miss her beautiful smile.

I first met Wendy in the late 80’s when we worked together at Scotiabank. We became great coworkers and great friends. She was type of friend you could tell anything to and everything could be resolved over a cup of tea or a glass of wine depending on the time of day. We shared our love of music especially The Rankin Family in those days. We even took a coach trip to Calgary to see Phantom of the Opera.
As her dear friends Joyce and Pete have reminisced about their holidays together, Wendy would fondly recall her camping holidays in France with Peter, Linda and Sharon in the early years.
We are all that little bit better for knowing Wendy. I know that when the world is in a kinder place, her friends at Scotiabank will get together to share our memories.
To  Peter, Linda,Sharon, Terry, Sydney and Erin,  Danny and I send our heartfelt condolences to you all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

I was privileged to teach both Sharon and Linda during their years at Hunmanby County Primary School in North Yorkshire, UK.  I was also privileged to meet Sharon and Linda's parents, Wendy and Peter, on numerous occasions.  Wendy was always encouraging and supportive at parent-teacher meetings and very interested in her daughters' progress.  She was a joy to meet and I always looked forward to talking to Wendy and Peter at school meetings. A lovely family indeed! Wendy and Peter, you sure taught your girls the important values of life!!!  It always made me feel very connected as both of our families moved to Canada in 1987 within a month of one another.

I know Wendy will be so missed by her family and friends.

Wendy was the greatest friend we have ever had, a truly lovely lady.  Along with Peter we all shared the same sense of humour and values. Many evenings were spent over more than 20 years having a really good laugh together. Then when we were all on holiday in Cuba to come around the corner and see Wendy riding a bull was nothing short of incredibly hilarious.
We'll miss your friendship Wendy, love from Joyce, Pete, Nicola, Caroline and family.
