It is with deep sorrow, yet with trust in God’s perfect will, that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Woon Sau Mah, who went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2026, at the age of 87.
What began as flu-like symptoms on February 26 progressed far more quickly than anyone could have anticipated. In His mercy and grace, the Lord gently called her home the following early evening.
Woon Sau Mah was deeply loved and respected by her beloved family and all who knew her. Her life was marked by quiet strength, wisdom, and grace. Through her kindness, faith, and steady presence, she touched countless hearts. While our hearts grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in God’s presence and joyfully reunited with her beloved husband.
We are profoundly grateful for the many years God blessed us with her and for the love, faith, and values she shared so generously. Though she will be greatly missed, we hold fast to the hope of eternal life and the promise that, through Christ, we will one day be reunited.
Woon Sau Mah is survived by her son Wayne Mah of Lac La Biche, Alberta (wife Jennifer; grandchildren Keanan and Brennan); her daughter Mona Nemetchek of Missoula, Montana (husband Barrie; grandchildren Michelle, Elizabeth, Derrick, Christian, Victoria, and Ryan); and her youngest child Phi Mah of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
A private family viewing and prayer session will be held on Saturday, March 7, at noon at Dignity Memorial, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, Alberta. She will then be lovingly laid to rest beside her devoted husband of 56 years, who went before her to our eternal true home in the presence of the Lord in August 2020. Together at last, they rejoice in the everlasting glory of God, their faithful love fulfilled, and their souls embraced forever in the peace and joy of His heavenly kingdom.
