

Bernie was born on May 24, 1943 in Shannonvale to the late George Parker and to the late May (Murphy) Parker.
Besides his wife Rolande, he is survived by his children Shelley (Bjorn) Olsen, Wendy (Guy) Chiasson and Daren Parker.
He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Joan Dunn, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Edgar, Doreen, Arnold, Marjorie, Gerald, Jeannine, Jean, Eileen, Argine and Margaret.
Bernie worked as a mason for most of his life. A skill he learned from his brother Arnold. He worked at the mill in Dalhousie for close to 40 years. Bernie loved his family and was very proud to be a Parker. When he wasn’t working, Bernie enjoyed card games and outdoor activities.
A funeral mass for Bernie will be held at Saint-Trinity Church in Eel River Crossing on Friday January 31, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
Respecting Bernie’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in his name can do so at the Restigouche SPCA.
