Amparo “Ann” Martinez, née Roslas, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Thursday, April 23, 2020 in Poway, California. She was born on February 23, 1931 in Valedon, New Mexico to Antonio & Severa Rosales.
Ann enjoyed the outdoors and found peace under the rays of the sun. She loved being in her garden and was known for having a green thumb, she could get any plant to flourish. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the hummingbirds that called her garden home. Ann was a talented crafter, she crocheted lace and blankets, made a variety of clothing, and created quilts.
Ann was a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, and a loving grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose “Joe” M. Martinez, her youngest child, Victoria, her three older brothers, Armando, Ralph, and Helodoro, and her older sister Connie. Ann is survived by her 4 eldest children, Joe, David, Rose, and Patsy, her 8 grandchildren, her 6 great-grandchildren, and many other loved ones.
