Jodi Rae Van Order

Jodi Rae Van Order, 65, of El Cajon, CA peacefully passed away on April 17th, 2023 while surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with cancer.

Jodi was born on October 7th, 1957 to Melvin and Donna Butts in Ohio. Soon after Jodi graduated from high school she moved to San Diego, CA. A few years later she was married and went on to earn a degree in Nursing from Grossmont College. She passionately devoted her life to helping others and worked in many different facets of healthcare as a Nurse for 40 years. She was intelligent, detail oriented, and had a unique ability to connect with anyone she met and provide comfort in times when people needed it most which made her an excellent caregiver.

She was a loving mother and grandmother that was blessed with two sons, Derek and Arthur, and two granddaughters, Jocelyn and Abigail. In her free time she loved to read books, swim, go for walks, gamble, spend time with her family, and support her loved ones to pursue their dreams and passions in life.

She brought happiness and joy to countless lives throughout her journey through life. She loved being a Nurse, a mother, a friend, and a pillar of strength to lean on at any time. Her love, caring, compassion, and selflessness for others will be carried on forever in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. As she rests peacefully and looks after all of us for all of eternity she will always be missed and never forgotten.
