When I was a teenager, everyone gathered at the Green's House.  Katherine and Herb welcomed everyone into their home and made you feel like another member of the family.  Katherine loved having company and was always prepared to entertain.  She was proud of and loved her children and grandchildren so much and would always talk about their many accomplishments.  I pray for comfort and peace for the Green family.  Rest in peace Katherine.

KE was a very special person in my life. When I was much younger, she and Herbie would take me on "dates" with them. Probably because I enjoyed spending a great deal of time at Uncle Clarence and Aunt Verniece home, so was hanging around quite a bit. She and Herbie were much more like an Aunt and Uncle, rather than cousins. And included me in so many fun adventures.

The thing that stands out most for me is her wonderfully, loving heart - particularly for family. Every year that she was capable EVERY ONE in the family got birthday cards, anniversary cards, and, of course Christmas cards. When Andy and I joined our lives, she even included his daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren.  No one was left out as long as she knew about them and had their address.  That took a lot of planning and love on her part.

She was also very generous. My sister Linda and I both have gained a bit of weight in our later years.  We took turns calling KE each month and checking on her and the family. She, in return, sent boxes of clothes for us to share - good quality, fun, and fancy items.

KE will be missed so much because of her love and reaching out to ALL of the family. But especially  due to the times Linda and I had talking with her.  She was (is) very deeply loved.
