Our family knew him as Don.  Don the barber for our two boys and Don the bus driver for our oldest son.  When we went for haircuts, Don knew he ALWAYS had to cut Justin's exactly the same.  When Jeremy, the younger boy, climbed into the chair, Don would ask him what he wanted that day.  He'd listen and then say, "Is that OK mom?"  Then go ahead and create that month's masterpiece.
I was a teacher in Cajon Valley, so I also knew Don through work.  He happened to drive the bus from Fuerte school which made a stop at Aunty Lynn's preschool.  It was a long ride for Justin,  with many stops, but he and Don just chatted and laughed the whole way.  It wasn't just a ride, it was fun for them both, I think.  What a generous, beautiful soul.  He must have been an incredible father, also.  He greatly enriched our lives.
