Nancy McCassie Steele, 78, of Santee, died on August 17, 2016. She was born on April 13, 1938 in Massachusetts, and relocated to Santee, California in 1999 from West Palm Beach, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, and watching Padres and football games with her cousin Steve.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly Savage, and son, Brad McCassie (Robin); grandchildren Sean Savage (Melanie), Donald Savage (Summer), Brandon McCassie, and Cheyanne McCassie; great-grandchildren Layla Savage and Apple Savage; sisters Alice Goldsmith (David) and Diann Marzougui (Fethi), brother John Beaton, and sisters-in-law Judith Beaton and Rosalie Beaton and Judith; nieces and nephews Mark, Victoria, Alexis, Alisha, Chris, Dawn Jean, Jack, Johnny, Hedi, Sami, and Sara.
She was preceded in death by husband, Donald McCassie, mother Elizabeth Beaton, and brothers Arnold Beaton and Archie Beaton.
