

San Diego, CA. Paul passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Paul was born and raised in Michigan. He joined the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Paul spent nearly 60 years in the construction industry, starting as an apprentice in Tucson, AZ. Later he was an instructor-apprenticeship coordinator for the San Diego District Council of Carpenters. He was a business representative for the District Council before moving on to a general representative for The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was very involved in his church, Mission San Diego de Alcala.
Paul is survived by his seven children: James Cecil (Janis), Renee’ Wallace, Pamela Hebert, Michelle Verducci (Pat), Joseph Cecil (Marie), Susan Walters (Jess), Elizabeth Wilson (Mark). He was predeceased by his son John Cecil. Paul is also survived by his long- time companion Mary Marin and her children Debbie Marin, Dan Marin (Tina), Christopher Marin (Sandra). In addition he is survived by his brother David Cecil, sister Gayle Heacock, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, caregiver Tina Smith, and extended family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Mission San Diego de Alcala, followed by Internment at Miramar National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., on Friday December 15,
