

Rosalyn Jaquiece (Franklin) Reynolds’ legacy commenced in 1979 when fate brought her together with her “person” and life partner, Frank Reynolds, within sacred walls of his stepfather’s church in Springfield, Missouri. Rosalyn and Frank’s love blossomed, accompanying them through their high school years and culminating in marriage in 1987. Their union was blessed with the arrival of two cherished children, Dorian and Shelby, who became the embodiment of their shared dreams and aspirations.
Known affectionately as “Roz”, Rosalyn radiated a genuine spiritual light, illuminating the lives of all fortunate enough to cross her path. Her unwavering commitment to her family and her selfless dedication to serving others were the cornerstones of her existence. Though her earthly journey was unexpectedly cut short, Rosalyn’s profound impact and purpose were fully realized, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and souls of those she touched.
Rosalyn “Roz” Jaquiece Reynolds, 57, of San Diego CA, passed away on 11 Mar 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Rosalyn Jaquiece Franklin, born in 1967 of February, to Onetta Joyce Horton and Larry Franklin. She experienced an enriching childhood with her siblings, Roderick Franklin and Latoya Manley ensuring to embrace every moment with joy, laughter, and love. She attended Glendale High School before embracing her spiritual calling.
Rosalyn met the love of her life, Frank Reynolds, in 1979 while attending church. The two became inseparable going on to be high school sweethearts. During their high school years, Frank Reynolds was the star athlete dominating in both football and track. While Rosalyn was a cheerleader at their rival school, Glendale High School. They enjoyed spending time at each other’s sporting events, going to the movies and spending time at local parks hanging out. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on 11 July 1989 in Springfield, Missouri.
Rosalyn and Frank could not wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. Their first son, Dorian Jermaine Franklin Reynolds was welcomed on 25 June 1986. They later welcomed second son, Shelby Franklin Reynolds on 20 October 1988. As a family of four they built their life together. As dedicated mother of athletes she spent majority of her time attending soccer games, football games, as well as track, and swim meets. Her sole purpose in life was embracing and cherishing motherhood. She celebrated her sons’ achievements and next stages in life as men. She witnessed both sons into marriage. Shelby and Emmaily married in July of 2017 and Dorian and Lora married in May of 2022.
Embracing life and creating family memories, Rosalyn’s favorite role was that of a grandparent. Her grandchildren: Jayden, Legacy, and Amarii Reynolds were so special to her. She treasured the time with all her grandchildren and loved being their Gigi, never failing to pour out wisdom, read books, and enjoy nature walks. She loved spending summers with Jayden, playing dress up and cooking with Legacy, and watching Amarii kicking a ball just like her son Shelby did. All her grandchildren melted her heart.
Rosalyn had a soft spot for all her furry babies, treating each and everyone one like her children. She would start off the day by singing a breakfast song to each dog before laying their bowls down to eat. She enjoyed spending time with Ozzy and Nicoli. Always taking them on rides to run errands or daycare twice a week. They were her support system.
Everyone who knew Rosalyn knew how she loved her family and her dogs. As an empty nester, she loved spending time with both.
Rosalyn will always be remembered for her ability to be a leader in the community. The way that she always created a space to open her home and feed anyone in needed spoke to her humanity and love for people. Rosalyn was an active leader in the spiritual community. As a Spiritual Intuitive, she has profoundly enriched the lives of many by bringing messages of loved ones back from the other side, instilling hope and peace in the hearts of the living who longed to one day be reunite with their loved ones.
Rosalyn was preceded in death by Alberta Horton, Dorthy Wood, and Johnny Mae, and is survived by numerous family members.
