Sam is survived by his spouse, Wendy Kazanchi; his son Yaser Kazanchi (Hala Z. Kazanchi); his daughter Sawsan Kazanchi (Keith Hummel); and his daughter Rayna Knox (Shwan Knox); his brother Fouad Kazanchi (Najua Kazanchi).

A funeral service for Sam will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Syriac Catholic Church, 1101 South Mollison Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 12:15 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA 92102.
