Born April 15, 1962, in Glendale, California, he was the son of Roy Russell Valantine and Jane Dibble Valantine.
Bill attended Hoover High School, and Dixie State College. He then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ireland. After his mission, he attended Brigham Young University and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He received a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Denver and a Psy.D. degree in clinical Psychology in California. He had a private practice for over 25 years.
His great love was music and played the clarinet and alto saxophone. He enjoyed backpacking, hiking and camping in the great outdoors. He will be remembered for his loving and gentle kindness and willingness to always serve others.
He is survived by his spouse of 33 years, Connie Cofrank Valantine, his parents and siblings, Diane Rappaport (sister) [Aaron], John Valantine (brother) [Lauren] and Kathy Stepp (sister) [Robert] and 9 nieces and nephews.
The celebration of life for Bill will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1270 S. Orange Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020. A viewing will be held at the same location at 10:00 am.
