Alice Raye Norris

Born on February 11, 1936 in El Dorado, AR; she was the daughter of Wallace Wood and Dena Geneva Givens Wood. Alice was the former office manager for Schuler Drilling for 37 years. She enjoyed reading. Alice was an active member of Antioch Church of Christ.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather David Mack Jeter; two step brothers, James Jeter, Lee Wayne Jeter; a step sister, Bobbie Cogburn; a son, Kevin Norris; and her husband, James A. Norris.

Survivors are a daughter, Jan Pepper of El Dorado; a sister, Mary Taylor of El Dorado; a step sister, Mary Hawkins; 4 granddaughters, April Aycock (Wes), Allison Sweet, Jana Gates (David), Jenny Williams; and 5 great grandchildren, Anna, Kaden, Alivia, Luke, and Lexi.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Young’s.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Smyrna Cemetery with Tommy Bennett officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
