

He was born on August 10, 1933, in Strong, AR. His mother and father Robert and Minnie Womack lived in Huttig, AR until their death. Bess Womack, his wife of 55 years still resides in El Dorado, AR. They were married on December 31, 1955.
A.D. was a Naval Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was an employee of Great Lakes Chemical for 30 plus years. He and his wife were long time members of Mt. Union Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bess Womack; one daughter, Mitzi Matthews (Craig) of League City, TX; two sons, David Womack (Amy) of Parkers Chapel, AR and John Womack (Margarette) of West Monroe, LA. He had six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Minnie Womack; two brothers, R.D. Womack and O.D. Womack.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21. 2012, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Young’s Chapel with Bro Paul Sheets officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Hampton, AR under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Womack, Jeffery Womack, Stormey Primm, Craig Matthews, John Pickering, and Malvin “Shorty” McKnight. Honorary pallbearers are Ben Fish, Ernie Sawyer, Landall Evans, Louis Matthews, and Terry Vestal.
The family will be at the Womack residence at 5535 Junction City Hwy., El Dorado, AR.
