She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald Clark Wood and Robert Harden Wood, her great niece Lee Ann Herndon and nephew Larry Waschka.
She is survived by her niece Julie Waschka and Husband Lawrence Waschka, nephews Robert Patterson, Paul Waschka and four great-great nieces.
She was of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening and plants and birds of all kinds. She also loved animals especially cats and dogs.
Cremation services were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors. A private interment will be held at Arlington Memorial Park at a later date.
