Beverly Jean Smith, 74, of Smackover, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital in Texarkana, TX. She was born on August 8, 1951 to Ruel and Elizabeth Jean David Sales in El Dorado, AR.
Beverly was a hairdresser and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Smackover. She loved animals, working in the yard, and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Richard Alan Holloway; and son, Newton Jason Holloway.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, George Smith of Smackover; children, Jamie Holloway (Cindy Taylor) of Smackover, Crystal Smith of Tulsa, OK; Kim Ward (Jeremy) of Smackover, Sam Miller (Mark) of Smackover; grandchildren, Caydee, Rikki, Madison, Isabella, Kate, Eva, Ana, and Beau; sister, Debra Boyd (Damon) of Gibsland, LA; sisters-in-law, Patricia Strain of Smackover, Yolanda Marks of Norphlet; nieces, Kamile, Kasey, and Lucy; nephews, Matt and Nick; and her beloved dog, Peewee.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors, with Rev. Carly Davis officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Damon Boyd, Mark Miller, Chad McNeely, Jeremy Ward, David Dews, and Rusty Patterson.
