He was born August 29, 1931 in Rayville, LA to the late J.L. and Helen Freeland of Camden. Before retiring Claude worked as a machinist for Georgia Pacific.
Preceding him in death are his beloved wife, Shirley Ann; a son, David Allen; brother, B.G. and a sister, Linda Coston.
Survivors include his daughter, Janet Saunders; son, Mike Freeland; grandchildren, Greg, Robin, John and Holly; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Tyler Swain, and Zachary.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Bob Inman officiating.
