Claudia Ruth Jones

Claudia Ruth Jones, 76 of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. She was born June 2, 1937, to Robert Jefferson and Theresa Ceazee Coleson Ward in Huttig, AR.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was the owner of Bow Hunters Paradise and Jones Grocery for 32 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her loving husband of 44 years, William “Jerry” Jones; brother, Raymond Ward; and brother-in-law, J.C. Parks.

Survivors include her son, Terry Jones (Lynn); daughter, Judy Casto; three sisters, Marilyn Naomi Parks, Elizabeth McCurry (Frankie) all of El Dorado; Susan Rebecca Bryant (Orville) of Homer, LA; four grandchildren, Josh Casto, Catina Murphy, Jennifer Lowery, Caleb Jones; five great grandchildren, Walker White, Brock Murphy, Blakleigh Lowery, Aidan Jones, and Noah Jones; and companion, Leo Protillo of El Dorado.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Steve Pelz officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
