

Born August 24, 1940 in Atlanta, Arkansas she was the daughter of Bernard A. and Melrose M. Cockrell Hare. Mrs. Owen had worked at Murphy Oil Corp as a receptionist and also a PBX operator. She also had been employed at M. M. Cohn and in the medical office of Dr. Gene Wise. Elouise was a member and Sunday School Teacher at the First Church of God in El Dorado.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, Jerry W. Owen and two brothers, Rickie Bernard Hare and Robbie Darrell Hare.
Survivors include sons, Steven R. Owen (Nancy) of El Dorado and Stanley B. Owen (Lisa) of Norphlet along with grandsons, Clinton Michael Owen of Parker’s Chapel and Seth M. Guinn of Virginia Beach, VA and granddaughters, Hanna Cheatham (Brandon)of El Dorado and Rachael Agerton (Jay) of Strong, AR. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Young’s Chapel with Bro. Adam Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Young’s.
