Helen Ann Davis

Helen Ann Davis, born on December 28, 1944, arrived home on October 24, 2019 to what can only be imagined as glorious reception into the waiting arms of her parents, Hoyt and Audrey Warren Davis and her sister, Margaret Roden as they had gone on ahead of her to a place prepared by God, our eternal father.

As we see the image of those golden streets I’m sure that Helen has spent these first few hours strolling down them in awe admiring the most beautiful flowers that she ever has seen and as she is taking this first tour I’m also sure the she has kids gathered around her as she points out each one of the flowers to them. She spent her life loving to care for flowers, for all animals, and she had special joy for telling children about Jesus. She was employed most of her working career by the former Ross’ Nursery, which never seemed to be a job for her but a joy of one of the things she loved. Helen was a lifelong member of Midway Baptist Church where she was the young children’s Sunday School teacher, it was here every Sunday morning that you could find her doing her life’s passion and see her contagious smile as she was going to be sharing Jesus with every child that stepped through the doors of that little white framed church.

Left here to cherish these memories of Helen is her Mother’s cat, Baby, her brother, Wallace Davis (Kay), brother in law, Winston Roden, nieces, Donna Almand (Damon), Lisa Hall (Craig), nephews, Mark Davis, Chris Roden, Tracy Roden (Connie), and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews plus a multitude of friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday Evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at Young's Funeral Directors.

Funeral service will be at 10 am, Monday, October 28, 2019 at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Roden officiating. Interment will follow at Marysville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Russell Hall, Davis Roden, Michael Davis, Dillon Reed, Justin Davis and Heath Tucker.
